Abstract

Abstract: This paper proposes a method to monitor progress or setbacks that are experienced in the field of educational equity. For this purpose, we propose a statewide system of indicators to measure how much equitable is education in Mexico. Starting from the case of Hidalgo it was designed a system of indicators to measure the context and the educational process inequalities. Finally, it was designed and developed the dynamic web system: SIEE-50540 (from its original words in spanish), as a product derived from the project SEP-CONACYT 50540-SEB "Educational Equity in the State of Hidalgo and in the State of Chiapas. Design and Validation of Educational Equity Indicators System". The dynamic and interactive properties of the system were affordable thanks to the programming in PHP language to interact with a MySQL database and incorporating the results of the queries in a graphics package for web sites known as amCharts.
