Recent surveys of K-12 teachers show consistent declines in the classroom use of technologies implying that effective integration of computer technology into classroom instruction has yet to be realized. This paper identifies major barriers that stood out with a group of urban in-service teachers in the use and integration of technology in their classrooms. The authors provide suggestions to overcome some of these barriers.
