Abstract

Alternative delivery methods for traditional on-campus classes have increased significantly over the last few years. Traditional Distance Education deliveries using video tapes and broadcast television media have been joined by streaming technologies. However, many instructors do not feel comfortable transitioning from older delivery methods to newer ones. This roundtable will demonstrate how to take an on-campus lecture, using PowerPoint slides, and create a Real streaming file for use with a Real Server. While the output of the tutorial/workshop will be Real streaming files, the process and procedures are similar when creating other streaming media like that for Windows Media Services.
