Communication via Twitter in The Field of Science Education

ABSTRACT Social networks effects connects with friends, colleagues and all relationships like students’ understanding levels in education system. On this basis, a study has been conducted which is related with science education. University students in the department of Arts and Science have been constituted the sample group of study. In the first step of this study, a students were asked to create a twitter account . In the second step students were asked to make a connection with us via these twitter accounts. A connect group was created with these students. And in the third step, messages being related with in two different subjects were sent to this group (our followers) in two times a day. Than our followers’ replies, retweets, dialogues were examined to classify the scientific perspectives of students. KEYWORDS Social networks, Twitter, Science education, e learning
