Abstract
The Information Resources Management (IRM) College has undertaken an ambitious program to first experiment with and, more recently, fully integrate eLearning into the teaching and business processes at every level of the college and its graduate level programs. Key elements of the success of the program and its growth and sustainability include establishing a deliberate but flexible plan, creating a faculty support team, and identifying and maintaining pedagogical and technical standards. This approach has been constructed process so as to appropriately integrate relevant research from cognitive psychology with well-established instructional models. This more fully integrated pedagogical approach allows the teaching and learning process to be guided and informed by the domains of human-computer interaction, attention, and skill acquisition and memory.
