Abstract

For the last few years, we have been developing an online/in-house teaching environment in Web-design and multimedia animation. At this stage, the outcome is a hybrid system, known as HyWeb (Hybrid-Web). It is the result of combining online delivery with traditional teaching. The experience has led to the belief that a holistic approach to course design and delivery is not only practical but also essential. As certain features are required they are added to enhance the quality and efficiency of the system, making it a dynamic and evolving entity. This paper discusses the approach used for course development within the Multimedia degree, School of Information Technology at Griffith University, Gold Coast campus.
