Abstract
The study examines how teachers in grades 6-8 conceived of, and enact, technology integration in order to meet English Language Arts Common Core State Standards benchmarks. In addition, this paper will examine the supports and challenges. Important components of this implementation will also include professional development and district support involving classroom technology. This paper will discuss the importance of embedding technology into the standards, as well as the expectations for students and teachers required to successfully meet each one. Many obstacles exist making technology integration in schools increasingly difficult. These will be discussed as well. A case study design was followed using three participants. This paper will highlight purpose and all other components of the study.
