Abstract

Provides a glimpse of the prevailing situation in the field of information and communication in African countries; reports on recent surveys and case studies which indicate both problems and encouraging efforts. Discusses developments of international and national electronic communication networks which indicate rapid changes in electronic communication. (AEF)
