Abstract

Abstract. In this paper, we will discuss the planning, pedagogy, development, creation of an integrated “mapping and blogging (MapBlog)” learning object. They will discuss the theoretical framework behind the development as well as its implications. The learning object follows previous work by the authors using a constructivist theory and implements the latest Google mapping technology to create an interactive environment in which the students can explore location and context in a number of different applications to aid in their building their own relationships and perspectives in their entries and those of their fellow classmates.
