Abstract

The Faculty of Education at the University of Regina has, for the past 10 years, explored alternative and innovative approaches to enabling student teachers to become familiar with effective and appropriate technology use and integration throughout the preservice teacher education program, in the absence of any mandated "Computers in Education" course. This paper will review our ICT developmental journey, capture glimpses of our most recent major initiative (a three-year ICT integration project partially funded by Industry Canada), report on the final year of this project, and offer recommendations and a vision for the future.
