Abstract

This paper focuses on a research project using the blackboard learning management system as a main teaching tool by male faculty staff members at a male campus to deliver learning materials and teach female students at their campus. The main finding has indicated that male faculty staff mostly use the blackboard system to present teaching materials and do not benefit from the interactive features of the system primarily due to teachers’ lack of knowledge of them and societal constraints. Technical problems and low Internet connection speed also play a critical role in successful implementation of e-learning in female students’ education at Najran University in the KSA.
