Abstract

This study examined college student perceptions of adopting Web-based instruction in a selected public technological institution of higher education in Taiwan. A survey instrument, adopted and modified from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), was developed with a seven-point Likert scale Web-based form (£\ = .97). The survey included items measuring eight factors: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, interface, interaction, course structure, computer self-efficacy, Internet experience, and learner autonomy. A total of 630 students (188 from day classes, 251 from evening classes, and 191 from weekend classes) participated in the study. This study produced six primary findings.
