Abstract

This communication presents an educational and collaborative forum : DIACOM (Interactive Case Based Discussions for Medical Training). DIACOM offers a distance, continuous training activity, dedicated to physicians. Its principle is based on the sharing, confrontation and discussion about clinical cases. It can be considered as a more structured and collaborative approach of the discussion forums already in existence on the Internet. Its first function is to allow physicians to describe cases. It permit also to put them in touch with other practitioners, whose cases share common subject and important point of view differences. This operation is performed by a pairing process between described cases. This paper aims to introduce a description of the DIACOM interface module that makes collaboration and interactions between peers, effective and formative.
