Abstract
This paper describes an interactive learning environment which can be used by teachers in planning activities to promote the cognitive and emotional-motivational processes involved in learning mathematics. This multimedia system uses a play environment to create a context of motivating learning in which the students can practise using their comprehension skills to solve mathematical problems.
