Abstract
This paper proposes the use of 'Cognitive, Object-Oriented Teaching Model' as a methodology of Adaptation-In-Depth (AID) for learning, teaching, and material construction. The adaptive strategies for a web-based educational environment are more effective to achieve the learning outcomes when learning is directed by more than one layer of adaptive mechanisms. The AID strategies increase the performances of teaching/learning processes and reduce vulnerabilities of web-based educational systems. This model will integrate methodologies with cognitive characteristics of learners, presentation types of teaching materials, multiple channels of information communication, knowledge management and content management as attributes of teaching/learning strategies to construct an adaptively web-based educational architecture.
